Bonnie Coffey has worked on the issues that impact women for the past 20+ years, including director of a city-county women's commission and now as president of her own consulting firm providing training and coaching in face-to-face (F2F) networking, customer service, job-seeking skills, off-site management services and free-lance writing services.
Her networking expertise is evident through successfully navigating an amazing variety of jobs that included classified document courier, medical practice manager, temporary services manager, and radio talk-show host with her own live, two-hour program. She is a graduate of Leadership Lincoln, the Gallup Leadership Institute, Midwest Academy's Direct Action Organizing and ICAN Influence. She's been featured in Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine, Creative Training Techniques, Women in Business and has been a monthly columnist for the Lincoln (NE) Journal Star for more than ten years. Her book, Dreams for Our Daughters, embodies her belief in women and the girls they raise.
As president of Bonnie Coffey & Associates, Coffey is an experienced speaker and trainer and a nationally-recognized business and community leader. Her far-reaching career has impacted business, political, financial and leadership organizations throughout the country. Her client list includes the AARP® Foundation, Heinz Family Philanthropies, University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, North Dakota State University, Girl Scouts, American Business Women Assiciation (ABWA) and Union Pacific Railroad.

Produced community professional development seminar for women as fundraiser for No Limits! American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) June 2009
- Managed a public outreach program for AARP Foundation "Women’s Programs to support women 40+B in finding employment." Coordinated three sites (Kentucky, Texas, California), monitored progress, identified needs, outlined paths to progress, defined goals, established metrics, monitored progress, evaluated and reported results (2007-2009)
- Managed & produced Nebraska’s Ready to Run™ event to encourage and educate women to run for elected office. Convened steering committee meetings, secured site, managed publicity, secured speakers, provided on-site management on day of event. (2005-2009)
- Created & produced annual Women & Money Conference in Lincoln, Nebraska. Secured national speakers, developed agenda and presenters, secured site, developed and managed publicity (radio, TV and print), recruited volunteer workers, secured funding, managed registration, provided on-site management on day of event. (2002-2009)
- Local coordinator for live satellite broadcast, “National Women’s Summit” from U.S. Department of Labor, Women’s Bureau, June 5 1997.
- Created & produced “Breaking the Glass Ceiling,” a series of panels featuring women in non-traditional occupations for community girls. 1996-1999
- Created & produced program to support low-income women being trained in non-traditional occupations. “Fairy Godmother Club” recruited community women who were matched as personal ‘fairy godmothers’ to individual women who were taking classes to improve their skills in higher-paying careers. “Fairy Godmothers” agreed to send regular encouraging letters and occasional surprises (fast food gift certificates, movie tickets, etc.). The “fairy godmothers’ received the “Fairy Godmother Gazette” that provided ideas on how to keep in touch, surprise mailings and information on the courses the women were taking.(2005-2008)
- Produced “An Income of Her Own,” a unique day-long workshop for teen girls to promote entrepreneurship. Over 100 girls participated along with 50 women business owners for exercises, workshops and hands-on activities to promote financial independence. As a Certified Program Trainer with Independent Means, Inc., traveled to U.S. cities to teach organizations how to produce similar events.
